ââŠAnd Quinn Hughes lost his temperâŠâ Thatâs all she heard from the tv. The score was showing 3:2 for Vancouver, so she decided to get ready for bed. 5 minutes of the game were left, and she felt confident that Quinn and his team were gonna win this. Although, when she heard the sentence from commentatorsâ mouths, she froze in the bathroom with her toothbrush in mouth.
She ran back to the bedroom to rewind and see the situation in which her boyfriend lost his cool. When she saw the way Quinn threw Kingsâ player into the bands, she felt her cheeks burning. Quinn was the definition of a calm and composed person. She barely saw him losing his temper. She watched this clip all over again. The next thing she saw was Quinn chirping at the guy in the penalty box. All she had in her mind was this fight and him in the penalty box.
Right after the game was over and Vancouver celebrated a 4:2 win, she reached for her phone and sent Quinn a message, âYou did incredible today, but the fight?? Youâre badass out there, so hot captainâ. She couldnât stop thinking about it. She laid in the bed and watched the clips on social media. After two hours, Quinn called her.
âYou really enjoyed me throwing the guy into bands?â He laughed. She knew that sheâs on speaker when she heard his voice muffled and him packing suitcase.
âWell yeah, I didnât know you could be that hotâ. She said biting her nails.
âDonât tell me this turns you onâ. When she was dead silent, he continued. âYou canât be serious. Me being mad got you on?â
âI⊠Yeah.â. He giggled. âBut in my defense, I never saw you in this wayâ.
âOh, what I should do with you nowâ.
âYou can be mean to me tooâŠâ Before she could speak again, he interrupted her.
âPrincess, you're ridiculousâ.
âWhy? We can always spice things up in bedroomâ. He hasnât said anything, she felt that it was dumb suggestion. âOr never mind, forget what I said, it was stupidâ.
âNo, it wasnât. I just got lost in my thoughtsâ. He took a deep breath and spoke again. âIf this is what you want, we can do itâ.
âOh, I want toâ.
âGood⊠good. Then I expect you to be ready when I get back homeâ.
âYes captainâ.
âYouâre playing with the fire princessâ. He already was turned on by the thought of her at his mercy . âI love youâ.
âLove you too, canât wait to see youâ.
They hung up and she finally could fall asleep. She set her alarm clock early to get ready. When she woke up, she went to take a shower and shaved her body. After it, she went to their dressing room and picked his favorite lingerie. To make it not too obvious, she put on one of his old shirts and went to the kitchen to make them breakfast. She knew, heâs probably hungry after the trip.
On the other hand, Quinnâ mind was thinking all the time about her words. He couldnât believe that losing his temper turned her on so much to want to have rough sex. He started to think of the ways to make the most of it and at the same time not to hurt her. There were so many things he always wanted to try with her and now, he saw the perfect opportunity.
When Quinn finally got back home, the first thing that hit his nose was the smell of bacon and orange juice. He dropped his bags by the front door and went further to their apartment. She was placing all the food on the table. She turned and saw him standing in his suit, hands in his pockets. She was already turned on.
âHi baby, great games in Californiaâ. She went to kiss him and placed his hands behind his neck. He grabbed her by the waist and hugged her. His hand went to grab her ass and play with her panties.
âYou look beautifulâ. He spanked her. âAs much as I would love to fuck you, you need to eat because I know that you waited for me. Get your cute butt on the chair and letâs dive in your delicious foodâ.
She did what he told her. They sat at the table and ate breakfast together. Quinn was telling her how roadie went, and she was telling him about her work. When they finished, she stood up to clean the table, but he grabbed her wrist and pulled her on his lap.
âNot so fast princess. We have things to discussâ. He kissed her behind her ear, knowing how much she loved it. âDo you trust me with whatâs about to happen?â
âYesâ. She kissed his lips.
âGood. Now, if anything I did will make you uncomfortable, you will tell me, right?â She nodded her head. He grabbed her chin so she could face him fully. âWords princessâ.
âYes, I will tell you. Can we start?â He laughed at her desperation.
âYou really turn on, huh? I bet youâre already soaking wetâ. He placed his hand in her panties and started rubbing her clit. âGosh, youâre pathetic. I havenât done anything and youâre wet. Is the fight really got you going?â She moaned at his words. Quinn never spoke to her like that but she already loved it.
âDonât tell me that you enjoy when I degrade youâ. He said not believing in this but seeing how she blushed, he realized that she enjoys it.
âYouâre so simple to read, itâs such a shame that Iâll ruin you todayâ. Quinn whispered in her ear. He took off his hand from her panties and put his fingers in her mouth. She gladly accepted them and sucked on them. âBedroom, naked, now. Iâll come in a minuteâ.
She listened to him and stood up. She went to their bedroom swaying her hips and undressing at the same time. Quinn watched her every move, feeling the bulge growing in his pants. Before he went to her, he undressed by himself, throwing his suit in the bathroom. When he finally stepped to the bedroom, he saw her all naked, kneeling next to their bed.
âHow cute. Judging by your position, you want me to fuck your mouth. Am I right princess?â He closed the distance between them and started caressing her cheek.
âYou deserve a reward after those gamesâ. She said and grabbed his underwear to take it off, but he stopped her.
âNot so fast. Let me enjoy the view for a bitâ. She felt objectified by his words, but she loved this new side of him. She started getting ever more wet. Quinn finally made a move and stepped out from his underwear. âSpit on itâ. Thatâs all he said to her. She obeyed and played with her tongue on his tip. âOpen up and start the workâ. She took him to her mouth but couldnât fit his cock. He laughed, seeing her struggle. âAww, poor baby, canât even fit my dickâ. He mocked her and pushed himself further into her mouth.
The tip of his cock hit her throat. She was gagging around him. Her chin was covered in her spit and tears were falling from her eyes. Quinn looked at her and felt even more turned on. He loved seeing her face so helpless. Before he could release in her mouth, he took off his dick. She pounded on his action.
âYou wanted my cum?â He asked, wiping the tears from her cheeks. She nodded but corrected herself.
âYes⊠captainâ. She used this phrase on purpose, to see where this will bring her. His eyes darkened hearing her, saying captain in a sexual way. This woke up a new side of him. Quinn pulled her by hair so she could stand up. He pulled her closer to his face and grabbed her throat.
âYou shouldnât have said thatâ. He whispered to her ear. âYouâre gonna regret thisâ. Before she could react, Quinn turned her around and bent her over the bed. The first slap laid on her ass.Â
âYou think itâs funny?â Second slap. âTo call me captain?â Third slap. âIs this some kind of game for you?â Fourth one. âAnswer me or have I already made you dumb?â Fifth slap.
âNoâŠâ Her voice broke down. âWanted to see your reactionâ. She said all in tears.
He helped her stand up and turn her so she was facing him.
âPoor baby is already crying. Wait until I ruin this pussyâ. He kissed her and pushed her on the bed. âGrab your thighs, raise them and keep your legs openâ. She obeyed him hoping for him to fuck her. Instead, he played with her clit. âSo wet just from using your mouth and spanking. Maybe I should leave you like that. Do you deserve my cock in your greedy pussy?â
âYesâ.Â
âThen beg for it. Be a good girlâ.
âPlease Quinn. Do something, Iâll do anythingâ. She felt humiliated.
âAnything you say? So patheticâ. He pushed two fingers into her pussy. She screamed, not expecting this. The pain soon became a pleasure to her. He was fingering her at a ruthless pace. She was moaning louder with each thrust. âShut up. Youâre so loud just around my fingersâ. She tried to keep the noise quiet but couldnât. Quinn took his fingers out of her. He went to the nightstand and grabbed a condom. She laid her legs on the bed.Â
âHave I told you to do it?âÂ
âNoâ.
âThen why did you do it?â He asked, looking at her with his piercing blue eyes.Â
âI⊠I thought youâre done. Iâm sorryâ. She felt ashamed and tried to ignore his eyes.
âIâll be the judge of when Iâm done with you. Good thing you remembered your manners and apologizedâ. Quinn caressed her cheek and spread her legs open. He put the tip of his dick in her. He pushed his all length into her. She closed her legs out of habit but he grabbed her knees and spread them again.
âDonât do that or Iâll not let you comeâ. He threatened her. The thought of not being able to cum scared her and decided to act like he plays her. Quinn was fucking her fastly. He was abusive to her pussy but she loved every minute of it. She was moaning his name like a mantra. This was a motivation for him. He felt her wall tightening around his dick. He knew sheâs close.
âCumâ. Thatâs all that he said to her. She screamed his name loudly when she reached her climax. Two more thrusts and he also cum. He pulled his dick out of her and threw away the condom. Quinn looked at her trying to catch her breath.
âHey, you alright princess?â She nodded her head, too tired to speak. âYou did so good for me. Iâm proud of youâ. He kissed her forehead. âCâmon, letâs get you a nice bathâ. She followed him to the bathroom. Both of them laid in the hot water. Quinn helped her to wash her body.Â
âYou were so hot today. Even hotter than in the fightâ. She joked when they left the bathroom and headed out to the living room.
âThanksâ. He smiled. âI still canât believe that you got all worked up only because I threw a guy into bands. Youâre somethingâ. He kissed her temple and went to the kitchen to prepare lunch when she sat on the couch and turned on the tv. They spent the rest of the day laying on the couch, cuddling and watching movies.

Welcome to my atrocious shipping chart, I apologize in advance
Their opinions on eachother:
Headcanons below:
I've been having a story going on in my mind and it's just progressively evolved over time and this is the culmination of that specifically, so I'll try to explain the context of it here:
MAIN THING HERE IS THAT THE BEASTS (for the most part) "GET ALONG" WITH THEIR OTHER HALF
In my au thingy once they get along both half's get stronger, as if the soul jam becomes more whole (yes the ancients still ascended and reclaimed their soul jams as the rightful owners)
Burning Spice:
Got defeated by golden Cheese Cookie, after she left and he awoke from under the rubble of his castle he went to seek her out, to continue the battle, he wanted to be defeated, to be bested by the only worthy opponent, it was his DESTINY to crumble to her hands, he desired it so much. When he found and re-challenged her, she originally did fight him, but upon seeing how badly he wanted to be destroyed she decided to make him one of her treasures. At first he HATED it and would remind her how he could destroy all of it if he wanted to, but after months of slowly wearing him down he's now her right hand cookie and personal guard, very quick to fight anyone who gets to close to her radiance, he is referred to by the kingdom as "his anarchist".
Shadow milk cookie:
(because his actual story will be coming out soon I'm so paranoid about having to retcon this in the future) he has defeated pure vanilla cookie, finally! After so long!!! But wait, why didn't this victory feel right..? Why was the soul jam not reacting properly? Upon vanilla cookie crumbling should it not go back to him? Spoiler alert, no, no it did not as he was not worthy of it and the light was actively fading, as he began to slowly feel weaker with the progressive fading, having to think fast and make a decision he was not sure if he'd regret, he put all of knowledge to use and revive pure vanilla, centuries of being the representative of knowledge sure does come in handy! Ever since that day and discovering if the light fades so would he, he's tried to stay close to pure vanilla out of convenience, over time it becoming an actual friendship, though he is still overly protective/possessive of him to make sure no one hurts him.
Explanation of the relationships:
Golden cheese
- appreciates how Pure Vanilla's kindness is not conditional and relishes in the praise, though she's worried over him slowly spending less time with White Lily
- loves how loyal Burning Spice is, she is aware he's obsessed with her but she interprets it as him being greedy for her attention (it kinda is ngl)
- has fun doing stuff with shadow milk cookie, they like going to events together like parties and just messing around, they can joke with each other comfortably
Burning Spice
- kinda obsessed with Golden Cheese, seeing her as the only cookie allowed to be stronger than him, he doesn't let other cookies fight her as they're "not worthy"
- mostly sees pure vanilla as one of Golden Cheese's treasures and feels an obligation to her radiance to protect him. Is too uncomfortable to get closer to PV because he reminds him so much of pre-corruption Shadow Milk
- the new shadow milk cookie is definitely more lively, and ever since SM got along with PV his pranks have become more harmless which is enjoyable, one of his oldest buddies
Pure Vanilla
- Golden Cheese is one of his oldest friends, after everything that has happened he doesn't want to lose his friends again, he's slowly spending more time with her as White Lily is busy with other stuff and after everything he just wants to spend time with his friends
- after learning to get along with eachother, shadow milk is actually enjoyable to be around! They can talk about intellectual magic stuff, enjoy food and drinks, play games like chess, or just spend time together in comfortable silence
- does not have any strong opinions on burning spice as they do not talk much, though he isn't sure why considering how often they hang out, PV is confident he's seen BS looking at him sometimes when he thinks he isn't looking
Shadow milk
- pure vanilla is calming, when they feel worked up over something he's always there, PV is helping him get along better with cookies
- Golden Cheese Cookie is (currently) his best friend, they jokingly got along under the pretense on not being huge on WL but their friendship kept improving
- it's too much fun to prank burning spice, like SURE he could just find something they both find fun but as long as BS doesn't how actual disdain towards them he's not gonna stop! He loves to tease him too :)c
If I think of anything else I might add It? Idk, genuinely I just like having good guys in media make the bad guys nice, I enjoy "I can fix him" so much, THE ANCIENTS FIX THE BEASTS I SWEAR
#cookie run kingdom#burning spice cookie#golden cheese cookie#pure vanilla cookie#shadow milk cookie#pureshadow#burningcheese#au shinanigans#idk what the AUs called tho cuz its just a story in my mind that wont go further than small stuff like this

Twister
Wade thinks playing Twister would help with the sexual tension between you and Logan.
worst wolverine/logan x fem!reader - sexual tension, twister the game, vanessa cameo, funny, cute, fluff, wade being wade, no y/n used, no reader description
read on Ao3
âWhy did I agree to this?â Logan muttered, narrowing his eyes as Vanessa held up the Twister box with a mischievous grin.
Wade clapped a hand on Loganâs shoulder. âBecause, peanut, you said you wanted to have fun tonight.â
âYour definition of âfunâ needs a serious overhaul,â Logan grumbled, crossing his arms, though his gaze flickered over to you, a trace of a smirk tugging at his mouth when he saw you struggling not to laugh.
âCâmon, itâs just Twister,â you said, trying to keep a straight face.
â Just Twister?â Wade scoffed, waving a finger in the air like he was about to launch into a TED Talk. âThatâs like calling Monopoly âjust a board game.â Twister is a sport. It requiresâno, demands âserious commitment. Strategy. Flexibility.â
âWade,â Vanessa cut in, dryly, âstop pretending you didnât pull this game out just so youâd have an excuse to âaccidentallyâ grind against us.â
Wade placed a hand over his heart, pretending to look wounded. âI am shocked. Shocked that youâd accuse me of something soââ he paused, then shrugged, âaccurate. But Iâm also doing Logan a favor.â He shot Logan a knowing look, eyebrows raised. âI mean, look at you two. Tell me this isnât the ultimate icebreaker?â
You felt your cheeks warm as Loganâs gaze shifted to you, his usual cool confidence faltering for just a second. He grunted, shrugging. âFine. But if Wade ends up on top of me, Iâm out.â
âNoted,â Wade replied with a wink. He spun the wheel. âAlright! Left hand, blue.â
You went first, reaching down to place your hand on the blue dot, Logan following with a half-hearted sigh. The space was small, forcing him close enough that you could practically feel the warmth radiating off him.
âLeft foot, green!â Wade called, his eyes alight with excitement as he watched you both maneuver, the proximity getting tighter with every move.
Logan grunted, moving into position just inches from you. His hand brushed against yours briefly, sending a jolt through you that had you biting your lip. He caught the movement, a flicker of amusement sparking in his eyes as he leaned just close enough to murmur, âNervous?â
You shot him a playful glare. âNot even a little.â
âRight foot, red!â Wade practically shouted, stifling a laugh.
As you twisted to reach for the red dot, your balance wavered, causing you to press against Loganâs side. He steadied you with a hand at your waist, his fingers lingering for a second longer than necessary. The contact sent a shiver up your spine, and you glanced up to find his gaze already on you, a hint of challenge in his eyes.
âSomething wrong?â he asked, voice low.
You smirked, trying to mask the way your pulse raced. âJust worried youâll lose your balance, old man.â
Loganâs mouth quirked into a half-smile. âBetter worry about yourself, sweetheart.â
âNext upâleft hand, yellow!â Wade announced, practically bouncing with excitement.
As you twisted awkwardly to reach the next spot, you found yourself nearly chest-to-chest with Logan, his face mere inches from yours. The tension crackled in the tiny space between you, and for a moment, you forgot Wade and Vanessa were even there.
Wade let out a dramatic sigh, breaking the spell. âWell, well, well⊠seems like Twisterâs working its magic,â he sing-songed, shooting Vanessa a wink.
Loganâs gaze flickered to Wade, a hint of annoyance flashing across his face. âYou really thought you were subtle, huh?â
Wade shrugged, unbothered. âHey, Iâm just the referee, keeping everyone honest. Now, Logan, I think your left hand was slipping there... might want to hold onto something.â
Loganâs lips curved in a smirk as he looked back at you, his hand tightening just a fraction at your waist. âGuess I should take Wadeâs advice,â he murmured, voice low, his gaze lingering on yours for a moment that felt way longer than it should have.
Your breath hitched, and you tried to keep the playful tone in your voice, though your heart was pounding. âWouldnât want you to lose your balance now.â
With that, Wade grinned, spinning the wheel once more, but the game had taken a backseat to the electric tension sparking between you and Logan, something neither of you was sure you could ignore much longer.

Love is War
[Irene x Reader]
Note: IâŠ.frigginâŠ.loveâŠ.Kaguya-sama so much. Itâs just a funny show to watch and Iâve wanted to make something inspired by them. I had a lot of fun with this.
TW: a lot of second handed embarrassment
(Sheâs kinda like Kaguya)
You sit across from Irene in the empty student council room, the evening light filtering through the tall windows, casting long shadows that add a layer of mystery to the already tension-filled silence. Irene is flipping through some papers, meticulously reading, yet somehow ignoring your presence. Her focus, as always, is sharp, precise â but you've noticed the subtle glances, the way her lips curl ever so slightly when she thinks you arenât watching.
You lean back, determined to stay calm. After all, if you show any interest first, itâs game over. Irene is the president, elegant and controlled, respected and even a little feared. And you, as her vice-president, know every one of her mannerisms by now, but this silent tug-of-war â this feeling she hasnât just caught your eye but your heart too â has been going on for months. But youâd never give her the satisfaction of saying it first.
âSo,â you say, nonchalantly, âanother meeting⊠just us, huh?â You emphasize the âus,â making sure it sounds casual enough to not raise suspicion.
She raises an eyebrow, not even glancing your way. âYouâre the vice president, remember?â She flips to the next page. âOr did you forget why youâre here?â
Ouch.
But you can play it cool. âJust making conversation,â you reply with a smirk. âNot everyone spends hours in silence like you do, President.â
She finally looks up, her eyes sharp, and for a second, youâre caught in her gaze. This is all part of the game, you remind yourself. Whoever slips first, whoever lets their guard down, loses.
âI donât mind silence,â she says with a smirk of her own. âUnless youâre uncomfortable?â
âOh, of course not,â you scoff, leaning forward. âIf anything, I think youâre the one struggling to keep it together.â
She narrows her eyes, amused. âYou think Iâd give in that easily?â
âI didn't say anything,â you tease and put both of your hands up in innocence. Though your heart's pounding, every word a risky gamble. âYou seem pretty close to breaking. Maybe youâre just waiting for me to say something first.â
Irene tilts her head, a glint of mischief in her eyes. âItâs funny. You think youâve got it all figured out.â She leans in, just close enough that you can feel the warmth of her presence. âBut if youâre so certain of yourself, why havenât you said anything either?â
The challenge is clear, and for a moment, youâre both silent, the air between you practically crackling. Youâre staring at each other, each waiting for a sign of surrender, for that one misstep.
Just then, you notice her hand on the table, fingers lightly tapping. You reach out, instinctively, to still them, and in that moment, her eyes widen slightly, the faintest flicker of surprise betraying her usual composure. Your hands linger for a heartbeat longer than necessary, and you can feel your own face growing warm.
You pull away, breaking the silence with a chuckle, hoping to cover up your own slip. âNice try,â you say. âBut Iâm not that easy to trick.â
She looks at you with an unreadable expression before her lips twitch into a soft smile â a genuine one, not her usual restrained, dignified expression. âIâll admit, youâre a little harder to deal with than I thought,â she murmurs, almost to herself.
You raise an eyebrow, feeling a rush of victory. âSo, youâre admitting Iâm getting to you?â
Irene crosses her arms and raises a brow, leaning back in her chair as if sizing you up. âWellâŠsince youâre so intent on making conversation, how about a game?â
You match her confident expression. âA game, huh? Alright, letâs hear it.â
She holds up her fingers, ticking off each word. âTwenty. Questions.â
The challenge is clear, and your eyes narrow as you smile. This is an opportunity. If you ask the right questions, you might get her to reveal something. â20 questions?"
âYes,â she says, looking far too pleased with herself. âIâll ask first.â
You nod, already strategizing your responses. There's no way sheâll get you to slip up.
âAlright,â Irene begins, her tone deceptively casual. âAre you⊠seeing anyone right now?â
You blink, but you manage a cool response. âNo.â
She hums thoughtfully, tapping her chin. âInteresting. Your turn.â
âAre you seeing anyone right now?â you shoot back immediately, watching her for any reaction.
She raises an eyebrow, giving you a slow smile. âNo. Next question: Do you have a⊠special someone in mind?â
Your face heats up, but you donât let it show. You tilt your head, pretending to consider. âNo,â you say, stretching the truth just a bit. âDo you?â
She smirks, but her answer is quick. âNo.â Thereâs a spark in her eyes now, and you know sheâs trying to rile you up. âHave you ever⊠spent an embarrassing amount of time thinking about someone without realizing it?â
You narrow your eyes. Sheâs getting clever with these questions. âNo,â you lie, feeling like sheâs closing in. âBut have you ever been caught staring at someone and couldnât look away?â
Her smirk falters for a split second, but she recovers quickly. âNo.â
The room feels charged with each back-and-forth. Neither of you wants to back down, and every question seems to dig just a little deeper, as if youâre both trying to pry open a box thatâs already bursting at the seams.
Irene leans forward, her eyes glittering. âDo you⊠think about me when youâre alone?â
The question catches you off guard, but youâre not about to let her win. âNo,â you reply, keeping your expression neutral. âDo you think about me?â
Her lips twitch, almost into a smile, and her answer is a soft, measured, âNo.â
Thereâs a beat of silence, and youâre sure sheâs lying. But youâve both committed to the game, and thereâs no turning back now.
You decide to turn up the heat. âHave you ever wondered⊠what it would be like if you and I were⊠something more?â
Ireneâs eyes widen slightly, and for a fraction of a second, you see a crack in her calm exterior. âNo,â she replies, but the tiny hesitation is enough to make your heart race.
âAre you sure?â you press, grinning.
âYes,â she snaps, recovering her poise with a steely look. âAbsolutely sure.â
You canât help but laugh, sensing her annoyance. But she doesnât let you revel in it for long.
âDo you get jealous if I talk to other people?â she asks, raising an eyebrow challengingly.
âNo,â you answer immediately, fighting the urge to look away.
Irene chuckles, clearly unimpressed. âLiar.â
Your cheeks warm, but you keep your gaze steady. âSure, like youâre any better,â you say. âHave you ever gotten jealous seeing me with someone else?â
She narrows her eyes, leaning just a bit closer. âNo.â
Thereâs a pause, tension thick in the air. Both of you know the series of no are getting less and less convincing, but neither of you is willing to back down.
Then, Irene clears her throat, her voice softer than before. âAlright, last question. And you have to be completely honest.â
You nod, bracing yourself. âFine. Go ahead.â
She looks you dead in the eye, her expression unreadable. âDo you⊠feel anything special for me?â
Your heart pounds, the air between you both thick with unsaid words. You can feel every second stretching, every fiber of your being shouting to say something, anything other thanâ
âNo.â
Ireneâs eyes widen, and for a moment, her carefully guarded expression slips, replaced with something almost vulnerable. But she recovers, her smirk returning, even if itâs a little shaky.
âGood,â she says, trying to sound indifferent. âNeither do I.â
You both sit in silence, staring at each other, knowing youâve just lied through your teeth and realizing that youâre both too stubborn to admit it.
But then Irene leans back, her smirk shifting into a resigned smile. âWell,â she says, standing up, her voice teasing, âit seems weâre both in the clear, then. No oneâs losing anything here.â
You watch her walk toward the door, and before she leaves, she glances over her shoulder, her eyes holding yours for just a second too long.
âGood night,â she says softly, with a smile that tells you maybe, just maybe, sheâs as frustrated as you are.
âGood night,â you manage to reply, watching her leave, and for the first time, wondering if this game is even worth playing if it means youâll never actually win.
-
Back in your dorm room, you close the door and let out a long, frustrated groan. Youâd spent the entire day locked in a ridiculous back-and-forth with Irene, trying to make her slip up, but "nooo", she had to be as stubborn as ever. You throw yourself onto your bed, grabbing your pillow and thrashing around in irritation.
ââNo,ââ you mutter to yourself, mimicking Ireneâs voice in the most exaggerated tone possible. â'No, I never get jealous, no, I never think about you, no, I have no feelings whatsoever!ââ You yank the pillow over your face and yell into it, hoping itâll somehow drain the frustration boiling over inside you.
âGET OUT OF MY HEAD BAE JOOHYUN!â
-
Meanwhile, across campus, Irene is pacing in her room, arms crossed tightly over her chest. Every step she takes sounds like sheâs trying to stomp a hole into the floor. She mutters angrily to herself, face contorted in a mix of anger and â if she were to admit it â embarrassment.
ââDo you think about me when youâre alone?ââ she scoffs, doing her best impression of your voice, throwing her hands up in the air. âAbsolutely not, why would I?â She frowns, blushing despite herself. âAs if Iâd be the first one to say anything anyway!â
She huffs and, in a rare moment of unchecked frustration, grabs her textbook off her desk and slams it down, a futile attempt to squash the annoyance bubbling inside her. Sheâs never felt so embarrassed â or so irritated that she canât stop thinking about you.
âNo,â she grumbles to herself again, as if the more times she says it, the more true itâll become. âI am Bae JoohyunâŠwhy would I fall for you?â
-
Back in your room, youâve started pacing now too, every nerve on edge. You catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, your face twisted in frustration, and throw your hands up. âThis is ridiculous! I donât even care!â You stomp over to your desk, slamming your hands down like it might somehow snap you out of this bizarre Irene-fueled haze.
âOf all the people I had to like,â you grumble, throwing yourself back on your bed, arms flailing dramatically, âit had to be the one shortie who wonât admit anything!â
-
Meanwhile, Ireneâs found herself in a similar scene, on her bed, legs kicking the mattress in frustration. âAnd that kid KNOWS what theyâre doing,â she says, voice muffled by the pillow sheâs now buried her face in. âJust sitting there with that smug little smile, asking all those RIDICULOUS questions like they didnât care one bit!â She lets out a loud, frustrated sigh, tossing her pillow across the room.
Itâs not even five minutes before she stands, determined to shake off the restless energy building inside her, and starts pacing her room again. Each step lands with heavy frustration. She mutters under her breath, trying to convince herself: âItâs not a big deal. This is⊠nothing. And they were obviously lying anyway, just to mess with me. I mean, why would they ask those things unless they were trying to make me crack?â
-
At the same time, youâre staring up at your ceiling, arms crossed, muttering to yourself. âShe just has to be so stubborn,â you say, voice heavy with annoyance.
âEvery single answer, every question â itâs like sheâs actually trying to lose her mind on purpose!â You cover your face with your hands, shaking your head. âBut no, sheâs just too proud to admit she feels anything.â
-
In the end, both of you spend the next hour or so in almost synchronized frustration â you, rolling around on your bed, groaning loudly every few minutes, and Irene, sighing dramatically and flopping from one end of her bed to the other, trying not to think about how much it bothers her that you refuse to admit anything either.
Itâs only when you both wear yourselves out from the mutual thrashing and muttering that a sense of calm settles, leaving you both sprawled on your beds, staring at the ceiling, each lost in thoughts of the other.
But even in the quiet, both of you have the same thought lingering, echoing annoyingly in your minds:
âWhy canât they just confess already?â
âWhy canât she just confess already?â
-
The next morning, you drag yourself into the student council room, feeling the weight of sleep deprivation clinging to your eyelids like cement. You glance at the clock â 8:15 AM. Youâve barely gotten any sleep, and it shows. Your eyes are bloodshot, your hairâs a mess, and every step feels like itâs being weighed down by the universe itself.
You slump into your usual chair, rubbing your face. The room is eerily quiet, save for the faint hum of the fluorescent lights. No one else is here yet â except for Irene, sitting in her usual spot across from you, who seems just as disheveled as you feel. Her hairâs a little frizzy, and her posture is slumped like she might collapse at any moment.
You exchange a tired glance. Neither of you says anything. There's no point in it. Itâs obvious you both didnât sleep well, and itâs all because of that ridiculous game.
"Morning," Irene mutters, sounding less like herself than usual, her voice hoarse and low.
You nod. âMorning. Did you⊠sleep at all?â
She gives a small shake of her head, eyes slightly glazed. ââŠNo.â
You groan. âSame.â
âI can tell,â she says, voice tinged with equal frustration.
You both fall into an exhausted silence, but just as the tension begins to build between you once again, the door creaks open. Seulgi, the treasurer, strides in, bouncing on her feet as usual, though today she seems extra chipper â like sheâs somehow been recharged by a full night of sleep, which you both desperately lack.
She beams at you both. âGood morning, my higher ups! You two look like you barely survived the night.â
âThanks for the observation,â you mutter sarcastically, leaning back in your chair, trying to ignore the painful throb in your skull.
Seulgi raises an eyebrow, clearly sensing the tense energy in the room. âYou guys didnât get any sleep, did you?â she teases, looking between the two of you. âToo busy scheming with each other, huh?â
Irene gives Seulgi a deadpan stare. âWe donât need your commentary, Kang Seulgi.â
Seulgi shrugs, unfazed. âOkay, okay, no need to get defensive. You two need a distraction.â
With that, Seulgi pulls a small notepad from her bag, flipping it open with dramatic flair. âLetâs play Would You Rather,â she announces, practically jumping into the chair beside Irene.
You blink at her, too exhausted to even care about the idea of playing another game. But Seulgiâs already too deep into her plans to let you escape.
âWould you rather,â Seulgi starts, voice rising in enthusiasm, âhave the ability to read anyoneâs mind, but only while theyâre eating something, or be able to talk to animals, but only in a language they donât understand?â
You glance at Irene, already half-suspecting sheâs not going to entertain this nonsense, but to your surprise, she lets out a small sigh and leans in, trying to humor Seulgi. âThe animals. No contest.â
âReally?â you ask, raising an eyebrow. âWhy?â
âBecause I could ask a certain bear to stop stealing my snacks,â Irene mutters, eyes narrowing like sheâs speaking from personal experience.
"I know nothing" Seulgi whistled and looked away, feigning ignorance.
You chuckle, despite yourself, because somehow that seems oddly relatable. But Seulgiâs not done yet.
âOkay, next one!â Seulgi says, flipping her page. âWould you rather always know when someoneâs lying, but it makes you physically ill, or never know when someoneâs lying, but it makes you constantly question everything?â
Irene shoots you a look, probably knowing where this is going. You tap your chin dramatically.
âIâll go with the first one,â you say, your tone dripping with sarcasm. âI already get physically ill just dealing with you.â
Irene doesnât miss a beat. âIâm starting to think you might be lying about that,â she retorts, a small grin playing at the corner of her mouth.
Seulgi, clearly loving this back-and-forth, just grins wider. âAlright, now for the real fun oneâŠâ
You both exchange a look of dread.
âWould you rather,â Seulgi pauses for dramatic effect, âhave to sing every time you want to communicate, but only in opera, or be unable to speak at all and only express yourself through interpretive dance?â
You both sit there, silent for a moment, processing the absurdity of the question. Then, without missing a beat, Irene responds, deadpan, âIâd go with interpretive dance. At least itâs not opera.â
You stare at her in disbelief. âYou would dance? For everything? For your class presentations?â
She shrugs. âI mean, it would be easier than singing opera in front of the entire school.â
You scoff, leaning back in your chair. âIâd rather sing opera. Itâs at least... dignified.â
Seulgi looks between the two of you, laughing to herself as if sheâs witnessing the world's most ridiculous standoff. âOkay, okay, one last one. Would you rather accidentally confess your feelings to the entire school, but the person you like doesnât hear, or have to live your life with a giant embarrassing secret that no one knows except you?â
You freeze. Ireneâs gaze flicks to yours, and for a brief, horrifying moment, it feels like the entire world has just turned its spotlight on you both.
Seulgiâs watching, clearly loving the discomfort sheâs causing.
âIââ you start, but then you hesitate. âIâd rather have the secret,â you say quickly, then add, âI mean, I donât want to confess in front of everyone!â
Irene laughs â a soft, almost bitter laugh â and answers quickly, âIâd pick the same thing. Secrets are easier to deal with than... that.â
You both stare at each other, and for once, the silence between you doesnât feel as tense as before. In fact, itâs almost like... youâve just admitted something without even trying.
But Seulgi, ever the expert at reading the room, lets out a dramatic sigh. âYou two are impossible,â she says, shaking her head in mock disappointment. âBut at least we had fun.â
Irene and you exchange a glance. Neither of you says anything, but the hint of something unspoken lingers in the air. Something that wasnât quite said in the game, but was definitely felt.
âYou know,â you mutter, standing up and stretching, ânext time, weâre just playing chess.â
Seulgi grins, already plotting her next absurd question. âYou got it. But just so you know,â she winks, âIâm totally adding opera to the rules.â
Irene shoots you a look as if to say, See? This is your fault.
And for once, you canât help but laugh.
-
A few months pass, and life in the student council room has somehow become a bizarre, ongoing comedy show. You and Irene continue your ridiculous push-and-pull game, each day a new round of Who Will Crack First?. Neither of you has budged an inch, and yet neither of you has let up on the passive-aggressive scheming either.
Itâs as if youâre both living in some weird, never-ending loop of âwill they, wonât theyâ â and itâs driving everyone around you absolutely mad.
Seulgi, whoâs practically an expert at this point in navigating the absurdity of your interactions, has given up trying to intervene. She now finds it hilarious, often leaning back in her chair with a smug smile as she watches the two of you exchange cryptic looks and challenge each other with passive-aggressive âWould You Ratherâ questions.
One particularly awful morning, Irene walks in wearing her usual perfectly put-together look â except today, her blazer is slightly askew, her hair a little more chaotic than usual. Sheâs clearly been running on no sleep, but as always, she gives you a pointed, unamused look when you glance at her.
âNot today,â she mutters, sounding exhausted, and collapses into her chair with a sigh.
You blink. âWhatâs wrong with you?â
âIâm tired of you,â she snaps back, without hesitation.
You sit up straighter, a smirk tugging at your lips. âOh? So you admit it now?â
Her head whips to face you. âI didnât admit anything, you idiot.â
âRight, right. Of course not.â You lean back in your chair, arms crossed, trying to play it cool, but inside you can feel a small victory bubbling up.
Yes, youâre getting to her. Keep going.
Before you can continue your âIâm always rightâ victory lap in your mind, Seulgi enters, holding an envelope in her hands.
âGood morning, everyone!â Seulgi greets, sliding into her chair and tossing the envelope onto the desk in front of you. âGot this for you,â she says, looking far too pleased with herself.
You blink at it. âWhatâs this?â
Seulgi leans forward, grinning. âWell, someone (ahem, our vice-president) just got accepted for the student exchange program. With a full scholarship, no less.â
You freeze, staring at the envelope as if it might suddenly burst into flames. It takes a moment for the words to fully process in your tired brain, but when they do â you canât help but feel a mix of disbelief and excitement.
âWait⊠youâre kidding,â you mutter, flipping the envelope open. Sure enough, itâs real. Youâve been accepted into the program â and with a scholarship at that. You can barely wrap your head around it, the magnitude of it overwhelming. A chance to study abroad? This is huge.
"I MADE IT MOM!!!" You shouted, as loud as you just won a well fought war.
Irene, however, is not as happy for you. She glares at the envelope, as though itâs personally offended her. âCongratulations,â she says, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
You grin, almost smugly. âThanks, Pres. Iâm going to study abroad! How cool is that?â
âRight, so youâll be gone for how long?â Ireneâs voice has a sharp edge to it, and you know instantly that somethingâs bothering her.
âIâm not sure,â you say, waving it off, still too distracted by the possibility of it all. âMaybe six months? Maybe more. Itâs exciting, right?â
Irene doesnât respond. Instead, she leans back in her chair, arms crossed, staring at you with an unreadable expression. Her lips are pressed together like sheâs holding something in.
âYou know,â you say, enjoying the rare moment of feeling like you actually have the upper hand, âmaybe you should congratulate me properly. This is a big deal.â
She gives you a sharp look. âI donât congratulate people who act like theyâre already the best at everything.â
âOh, please,â you laugh, âthatâs not even true. We both know youâre just upset that you wonât get to have your daily dose of me tormenting you.â
Irene narrows her eyes, leaning forward like sheâs about to bite back with something absolutely scathing. But instead, she just sighs. âFine. Congratulations. Iâm sure youâll do great. Now, Iâll just go back to pretending you arenât about to abandon me for six months.â
You blink, caught off guard by her sudden change in attitude. Itâs almost like sheâs⊠jealous? No, that canât be right.
âWait,â you say, your voice sounding strangely unsure, âyouâre mad?â
She raises an eyebrow, looking at you like you're the dumbest person alive. âWhat do you think, Einstein?â
âAre you actually mad that Iâm going abroad?â You almost canât believe youâre asking. This is a new level of absurdity. Sheâs always acted like she doesnât care about anything â least of all you.
Her response comes in the form of a heavy sigh, followed by her leaning back again with a dramatic thud into her chair. âI just donât get it,â she mutters, staring at the ceiling like itâs the most tragic thing in the world. âOne moment youâre here, annoying the hell out of me, and then poof â off to some other country like itâs no big deal.â
âIs that jealousy?â you ask, incredulous. âPres, is thatââ
âNo!â She snaps immediately. âIâm just annoyed that youâve been torturing me for months, and now youâre going to vanish, leaving me alone with Seulgiâs stupid games and that.â
You look at Seulgi, whoâs grinning at the back-and-forth with a cup of coffee in her hand like sheâs watching a reality TV show unfold before her. âIâm just here for the drama,â Seulgi mumbles under her breath, casually sipping her coffee.
âSee?â Irene gestures to Seulgi. âIâm stuck here with this.â
âWell, if itâs any consolation, Iâm just as confused as you are,â you joke, tapping the envelope on the table, âsince it looks like Iâm leaving you here to suffer alone with your secrets.â
Irene glares at you. âStop talking about my secrets. Itâs not like you even have any.â
You grin, sensing that youâve touched a nerve. âOh, I do, donât worry. Just waiting for you toââ
âStop talking.â Irene snaps, her voice so sharp itâs almost a threat.
The tension in the room is so thick you could cut it with a knife, but you donât know whether to laugh or just keep pushing her buttons. Itâs getting harder and harder to tell if sheâs frustrated because of your âsecretâ or if itâs just the ever-present game you two have been playing for months.
Seulgi, clearly sensing the climax of your endless drama, looks between you both with a smirk. âYou two are ridiculous,â she says, sipping her coffee and savoring the war, like a general on the side watching her neighbouring countries fight.
And as always, you and Irene stay locked in your little game â still stubborn, still not admitting anything, but both of you a tiny bit more frustrated than before. You canât help but laugh, even though youâre not quite sure whether itâs from the excitement of the exchange program or the absurdity of your constant back-and-forth with Irene.
One thingâs for sure â you may be leaving soon, but the game will never truly end.
-
The days leading up to your final day at school felt like a drawn-out episode of Who Will Break First?.
The tension between you and Irene was palpable, like two magnets trying to repel each other while secretly waiting for the other to snap. It was absurd, and yet, you couldnât help but be thrilled by the idea of ending this ridiculous game once and for all.
The exchange program was looming on the horizon, and you were determined to win this war â no more games, no more indirect jabs. One of you was going to finally confess, and it would be grand. You werenât just going to do it quietly or casually.
Oh no. You had bigger plans.
Way bigger plans.
You could practically feel the dramatic music building in your head as you sat in the student council room, staring at the whiteboard, mapping out your elaborate scheme. It had to be perfect, a moment so spectacular that Irene would have no choice but to confess. You had one chance, and it had to be memorable.
The idea? A scavenger hunt.
But not just any scavenger hunt. A scavenger hunt for the heart.
âHow can I make it even more dramatic?â you muttered to yourself, looking over your ridiculous list of clues and challenges. Every challenge would lead Irene closer to her inevitable fate â confessing her feelings, of course. But it couldnât be too obvious. You had to make it like a game, because she would never confess otherwise. She was too proud.
You could already hear the sound of her internal monologue: I canât let them get away with this. Iâll show them Iâm not some softy.
Little did she know, you were about to turn this into the most obnoxiously grand gesture ever.
The next day, you casually walk into the student council room, where Irene is sitting at her desk, looking as stoic as usual. Her hair is perfect (obviously), and sheâs in the middle of filling out some form that looks like it was written in some ancient bureaucratic language.
âGood morning, Pres.â you say nonchalantly, as if nothing is out of the ordinary.
She barely glances up at you, just giving a quick nod. âMorning,â she mutters, not even bothering to make eye contact.
Perfect. The stage was set.
âYou ready for the game today?â you ask casually, leaning over to get a peek at her papers.
Her eyebrow twitches slightly. âWhat game?â
âThe game,â you say dramatically, âThe scavenger hunt. The ultimate scavenger hunt.â
Irene freezes. âWhat?â
You grin, feeling the thrill of your scheme starting to take effect. âItâs simple, really. Iâve set up a series of clues around the campus. Each one will lead you to the next, until you finally reach your destination. And guess what? Youâre the only one who can participate. No one else is allowed.â
Irene stares at you as if you just suggested she run a marathon in high heels. âA scavenger hunt? Are you serious?â
âYes.â You give her an exaggeratedly dramatic nod. âYouâre going to love it. Each clue is going to lead you to a place thatâs important to us. Youâll figure it out. Eventually.â
She blinks, clearly confused. âAnd whatâs the point of this ridiculous hunt?â
âThe point is,â you say, leaning in like youâre about to share the worldâs greatest secret, âby the end of it, youâll finally admit that you canât stand it anymore and you willâŠâ
You paused for a moment ââŠconfess your feelings for me.â
Ireneâs face is completely deadpan. âYouâre out of your mind.â
But sheâs intrigued. You can tell.
âOkay, okay. Iâll bite. Where do I start?â Irene asks, crossing her arms with that same defiant, no-nonsense look that always drives you insane.
You hand her the first clue, which is written in ridiculously dramatic handwriting. âGo to the place where it all started,â you say, practically bouncing in your chair, âYou know, where we first met. Good luck.â
Irene glares at you for a second before unfolding the note. Her eyes scan it quickly. Sheâs already halfway out of her seat when she mutters, âThis is so stupid.â
And off she goes.
What she doesnât realize is that youâve set up each clue in the most bizarre and over-the-top way possible.
The first stop is the fountain near the school entrance. But itâs not just a simple clue â oh no. Youâve surrounded the fountain with floating balloons that spell out âLOVE,â because youâre subtle like that. Next to the fountain, thereâs a big, obnoxious banner that says, âFirst step to confessing your feelings: stop running away from the truth.â
When Irene arrives, she looks at it, rolls her eyes so hard you think they might get stuck, but follows the instructions anyway.
âRidiculous,â she mutters, lifting the balloon with one hand and searching for the next clue.
Next, the clue leads her to the library â but not just any section of the library. Itâs the aisle where you first bumped into her accidentally (totally not planned) on that fateful day. The shelf is stacked with books on love and confession. (Of course, you also made sure the most embarrassing ones were in plain sight.)
By the time she reaches the next clue, which is hidden inside a cookie jar in the student lounge, sheâs had enough. âThis is the worst thing youâve ever done,â she says under her breath as she rips open the paper and immediately glares at the next clue.
Itâs just one word: Confess.
Irene stares at the note for a solid minute, as though sheâs trying to will it to self-destruct. âThis is⊠absurd.â
Sheâs so close now. Youâre practically jumping out of your seat, grinning so wide youâre certain she can hear the smugness radiating off you.
The final stop is, of course, the student council room. Youâve cleared out all the other council members and arranged the room like an oddly romantic restaurant, complete with candles (yes, real candles, because youâre extra) and a giant cardboard cutout of the two of you from a school event that sheâll definitely recognize.
âI swear to god, if youâve done anything worse than this, IâllâŠâ Irene trails off as she steps into the room, eyes widening at the display.
You cross your arms. âWell?â
âAre you really going to make me do this?â she asks, her voice dangerously calm.
You grin, barely containing your excitement. âI think itâs about time, donât you?â
Irene looks at you, deadpan as usual. âYouâre impossible.â
You wait, your heart practically beating out of your chest.
She doesnât say anything. The silence stretches for a few seconds, and just when you think sheâs going to snap â she sighs. âFine.â
Sheâs this close.
She takes a deep breath, looking you straight in the eye, and says in the most dramatically deadpan voice possible:
âI hate you.â
And just like that, you snap.
âWHAT?!â
âI said I hate you.â Irene smiles smugly, enjoying every second of your frustration. âBut I think youâre kind of an idiot. And Iâm sort of impressed by your sheer lack of self-awareness. So, confession done.â
You stand there, utterly flabbergasted.
âThatâs not a confession!â you shout.
âI didnât say it was a good one,â Irene retorts, crossing her arms. âBut at least I win.â
And with that, you both realize â youâve just played yourselves.
As Irene starts walking away, her smug expression plastered on her face, you stand there, still stunned, your heart hammering in your chest. You had come so close to victory â and then she just dropped the bomb on you like it was nothing.
I hate you.
What kind of confession was that? Sure, it was dramatic, but it was barely even close to what you had in mind!
But something in your chest tightens. You canât let this end like this. No way. You wonât let her get away with this. Not when youâre so close
You take one step forward. Then another. Youâre walking after her now, and you can feel the heat rising in your face as you approach. The whole scene plays out like a movie, but not the cool action kind of movie. No, this is a slow-motion trainwreck happening in real time.
âIââ You stop yourself. What the hell am I doing?
Irene turns around, still smirking as if she just hit you with the worldâs greatest comeback. âWhat? Did you come to call me an idiot again?â
âNo! I meanâYES, butââ You flounder, trying to hold on to whatever shred of dignity you still have. She raises an eyebrow.
âI canât believe this is happening,â you mutter, realizing that at this point, the only way to salvage your pride is to act like you meant this all along.
You take a deep breath, already feeling the cringe crawl up your spine. âIâI think I like you. A lot.â
You donât stop there. No. That would be too easy.
âBae Joohyun, I think... I think Iâve liked you for a long time, and... and this whole thing, the games, the scavenger hunts, the balloons... itâs been ridiculous and stupid andââ
Your voice cracks, and you internally scream. This is so embarrassing. Why did I think this would work against the Ice Queen?
Irene just stands there, her smirk faltering for the first time. âWaitâare youââ
âYes! Iâyes! I like you, okay?â you blurt out, and then immediately want to crawl into a hole and disappear forever. âLike, really like you. More than I can even explain. And maybe I donât always show it, and maybe Iâm not the best at this, but Iâve spent so long trying to... uh... win this stupid confession game, and now Iâm realizing that I... donât care about that anymore. I just want you to know that I like youâlike, like youâand Iâm tired of pretending I donât!â
Thereâs a moment of silence. You stand there, your face glowing with humiliation, hands clenched at your sides, waiting for Irene to react. You almost canât bear to look at her. You can feel the awkwardness radiating between you like a thick cloud, and itâs so heavy that it might as well be an actual physical presence.
Irene doesnât say anything at first, just stares at you with wide eyes. Then she opens her mouth, and you hold your breath, half-expecting her to laugh in your face or walk away.
Instead, she says, â...Are you... done?â
You blink rapidly, still trying to process her words. âWhat?â
âAre you done?â she repeats, her voice more amused than anything else. âBecause that was about the most painfully awkward thing Iâve ever witnessed. I mean, are you seriously this bad at confessing?â
Your face turns bright red, and you immediately want to crawl under a desk and live there for the rest of eternity. âIâNo! I mean... Yes, I am. I just... I donât know how to do this! Itâs like every time I try, I keep making it worse, and now Iâm... Iâm...â
You throw your hands up in exasperation. âIâm just going to shut up now.â
Irene crosses her arms, watching you with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. âSo, what exactly are you expecting from me now? A confession back? Do you want me to one-up you with some dramatic gesture too?â
The secondhand embarrassment is reaching a point where you feel like you might die from sheer awkwardness. âIââ
âWell, guess what?â she interrupts, her expression softening just slightly. âYouâre not the only one whoâs bad at confessing, you know.â She pauses, letting the words sink in. âIâm just better at pretending I donât care.â
Your eyes widen. Wait. What?
âYouâve been so obvious for so long. But youâre... youâre a mess,â she says, voice dropping into something a little more serious now. âAnd I didnât want to be the one to make the first move. I didnât want to admit it either.â
Your brain short-circuits. âWait, so... youââ
She gives a dramatic sigh and steps toward you. âIâm just saying,â she continues, âYouâre such an idiot. And I canât believe it took this long for you to get a clue.â
And then, out of nowhere, she leans forward and kisses you.
For a moment, everything stops. Your brain ceases to function as you try to process what just happened.
It takes about five seconds before you realize that youâve been kissed, and another five seconds to realize that youâre staring at her wide-eyed, as if this were the most confusing thing to ever happen to you. But youâre also feeling like you might pass out from sheer shock.
As Irene pulls away from the kiss, youâre still standing there, completely shell-shocked. Your head is spinning, the words in your mind tumbling over each other, and your whole body is shaking like a leaf. You canât believe what just happened â youâd been playing this ridiculous back-and-forth for so long, and now it was finally over.
Sort of.
Irene looks entirely too smug for someone who just outplayed you at your own game. âWell, that was definitely a moment, wasnât it?â
Your mouth opens and closes, but youâre too dumbfounded to say anything remotely intelligent. You can feel your cheeks burning with embarrassment, your brain still processing the fact that she kissed you like it was some kind of casual Tuesday.
âUm... can I... can I just...?â you trail off, desperately trying to regain your composure, but itâs like trying to catch a greased pig.
Irene, on the other hand, seems completely unaffected, smirking as she watches you fumble. âWhat? Are you still processing it, or...?â
But before you can even think of a response, you hear it.
A very loud click.
Both you and Irene freeze at the sound, and the two of you turn towards the source of the noise. And there, standing a few feet away, is Seulgi â grinning like a cat who just got into the cream.
âOh, this is rich,â Seulgi says, holding up her phone. âVice president, you really shouldâve told me you were planning on doing a âconfessionâ scene. I thought I was going to have to orchestrate this myself, but lucky for me, I had a feeling something like this would go down.â
âNo...â you mutter, feeling the blood drain from your face. âNo, no, no. Did you seriously justâ?â
âOh, you bet I did,â Seulgi replies with a grin so wide it should be illegal. Sheâs clearly enjoying every second of this. âYou two have been at this for months. I was just waiting for the moment when one of you would finally break. And I caught it all on video!â
You can feel the panic rising in your chest. âKang Seulgi, no! YouâYou canâtââ
She takes a few steps closer, completely unfazed by your distress. âOh, donât worry. I wonât post it... yet,â she says. âBut letâs just say I also have some... interesting footage that could influence your future decisions.â
âSeulgi, you wouldnât,â Irene warns, her voice uncharacteristically soft.
âOh, I would,â Seulgi chirps, tapping away on her phone, her fingers flying over the screen. âI have all the juicy bits. You two were so painfully obvious, I might just have enough material for a whole documentary about your embarrassing little love war.â
(She said the title card! Donât sue me thank you)
You turn to Irene, a look of pure despair on your face. âPlease tell me this is not happening.â
âI swear to God, Seulgi, if you even think about blackmailing us...â Irene starts, but then her eyes flicker to the phone in Seulgiâs hand. She hesitates, realizing thereâs really no way to undo this.
âOh, Iâm just kidding,â Seulgi says suddenly, and you almost collapse in relief, but then she adds, âMostly.â
âWhat do you mean, mostly?â you ask, now suspicious.
Seulgi just looks between the two of you, her grin only growing wider. âWell, I was going to use this footage to make you two suffer with some embarrassing compilation videos... but honestly? Itâs more fun to watch you both squirm. Youâre so pathetically obvious, itâs hilarious.â
You groan and throw your hands up in exasperation. âI canât believe this. Of course, Seulgi would have been lurking in the shadows, ready to capture every moment.â
Irene, meanwhile, takes a deep breath and glances at the phone again, looking more irritated than ever. âYou better not show this to anyone. Or I will make your life a living nightmare.â
âOh please,â Seulgi says, tapping the screen. âIâm just going to enjoy watching you two suffer in peace for now. But you know, if youâre ever interested in... making a deal... Iâm all ears.â
Irene crosses her arms, giving Seulgi a death glare. âYou really want to start blackmailing THE president and vice president of the student council? Donât forget, I have connections.â
Seulgi raises her hands in mock surrender. âAlright, alright, Iâll back off... for now. But letâs just say, Iâll be keeping my eyes open. You two are so obvious.â
As Seulgi walks away, still chuckling to herself, you and Irene stand there, completely defeated.
Youâre both speechless.
âI canât believe this,â you mutter again, this time to Irene, whoâs clearly just as done with the situation as you are. âI swear, Seulgi is too much.â
Irene lets out a long sigh and places a hand over her face, as if trying to hide her sheer embarrassment. âThis is never going to be over, is it?â
You shake your head. âNope. Iâm stuck with this for life.â
âI donât think I can show my face at school tomorrow,â Irene admits, finally letting out a little laugh despite herself.
âSame,â you reply, feeling the humiliation deep in your bones. âIâm going to pretend Iâm sick. Iâll fake an injury. Iâll fake... I donât know, something.â
âYou should,â Irene agrees, âand Iâll be right there with you. The entire school will know about our âconfessionâ before lunch.â
Thereâs a brief silence between you both, and then, at the same time, you both erupt into groans of frustration and turned away from each other.
âThis is why I hate you.â
âThis is why I hate you,â Irene replies, her voice thick with secondhand embarrassment.
And there it is â the grand culmination of months of tension, teasing, and awkward games. And it ended up with you both being caught on video, standing like two idiots while Seulgi secretly enjoyed every moment of it.
Todayâs result: Both lost (even with a fcking kiss)
-
The week after you left for the exchange program felt like a blur for you â the excitement, the new environment, and the unfamiliar routines made everything feel like a whirlwind.
But back at school, Irene was in a much different place.
Every day, Seulgi would come to school with a new glint in her eyes, a mischievous smile tugging at her lips, and a phone hidden somewhere on her person. She wasnât as sneaky as she thought; Irene could spot her from a mile away, and each time, sheâd smirk to herself.
âI swear, youâre enjoying this way too much, Bae Joohyunâ Irene would mutter, though the grin never left her face.
And why wouldnât she? Each time Seulgi presented her with another batch of pictures â snapshots from the infamous day of the confession â Ireneâs heart would flutter in the most embarrassing way.
There was the one of you, mid-sentence, as you tried to pull off your grand declaration. Your face was a perfect mix of awkwardness and desperation, eyes wide as you blurted out the confession.
The best part? The expression on your face was so utterly panicked that it made Irene burst into a fit of giggles every time she looked at it.
Then there was the one of you standing there, your hands raised in dramatic surrender, as Seulgiâs camera flashed. Your face was a blend of mortification and determination. Irene would often catch herself replaying that moment in her head â how precious you looked, fighting so hard for that confession you never thought youâd be able to get out.
But the one that made her giddy the most was a candid shot â one taken right after the kiss. It wasnât a perfect picture by any means, but there you were, lips still pink from the kiss, standing in complete shock as Irene pulled away with that smug smile plastered across her face. You looked like youâd just been struck by lightningâŠ
âŠand Irene was absolutely in love with the image.
Every time she glanced at it, she could feel the warmth in her chest, the little skip in her heartbeat.
But the real kicker? The deal she made with Seulgi.
âIf you promise to keep these between us... and not use them as leverage against me,â Irene had said one day, as Seulgi grinned with her phone in hand, âthen maybe... just maybe... youâll get something in return.â
Seulgi had raised an eyebrow. âAnd what exactly are we talking about here?â
Ireneâs eyes glinted mischievously. âThe âoneâ photo you really want. The one where Iâm looking adorably happy in front of that dork. Iâll give it to you... for a price.â
âDeal,â Seulgi said instantly, knowing exactly which picture Irene was talking about â the one of her, holding her phone with a soft smile, staring at all the pictures of you. The one where the subtle joy in her eyes was enough to make Seulgiâs heart melt.
And that, of course, meant that Irene had the perfect little âdealâ in her pocket. She now had the ultimate keepsake of her vice president and all those memories of their relationshipâs unspoken history â one that no one else would ever know about. Not just the hilarious moments, the embarrassment, or even the kiss itself, but the sweetness of it all â tucked away in her phone, a secret only for her to see.
The first time you sent her a message after youâd arrived at your exchange program, she stared at her phone for a moment longer than necessary, then quickly typed back:
âI miss you already. Do you remember that day?â
She hit send before she could overthink it. Almost immediately, she received a reply.
âOf course I do, Joohyun.â you texted. âHow could I forget? My life will forever be haunted by that day, thanks to Seulgi.â
Irene couldnât help but chuckle, a small smile tugging at her lips.
âIâm not letting you forget. Iâll be keeping all the best pictures. After all, I did get the perfect shot,â she teased, her fingers flying over her phone.
âYou wouldnât dare...â you wrote back, but Irene could tell you were joking. Your words were playful, the tone light.
âI would,â she replied, sending a winky face along with the message. She then paused, allowing herself to enjoy the quiet connection between you two.
As Irene walked through the campus, heading toward the student council room, she felt oddly content. Despite the distance between you now, despite the teasing and the games and the back-and-forth, there was this undeniable warmth in her chest. She might have started this war thinking sheâd win, but now that it was over, she realized she had already won.
You.
Her vice president. The one who had made her life absolutely ridiculous and frustrating, but also the one who had somehow captured her heart in the most unexpected of ways.
Irene flipped through the pictures once more (and the candid shot that she had set as her lock screen)â the ones of you two together â and her smile softened. It was official.
She was never letting go of this.
As she walked into the council room, still holding her phone close to her chest, Seulgi shot her a knowing look. âSo, when are you going to send them all the photos and just admit youâre head over heels for your vice president?â
âSoon,â Irene said, her voice thick with happiness, as she swiped through the next batch of pictures. âJust... one more time. I want to keep this to myself for a little longer..â
Seulgi rolled her eyes but couldnât suppress the grin that followed. âYou really are hopeless. It sounds more like you definitely lost this war, isn't it?â
ââŠmaybe.â Irene admitted, unable to stop herself from smiling widely. âBut Iâm hopelessly in love.â
And with that, she tucked her phone away, heart full of giddy excitement, ready to face whatever came next. After all, she had time. The war might have ended, but this?
This was just the beginning.

Monkey Queens (and Fem D.O) and a Deadpool reader.
đ€©đ€©đ€©đ€©đ€©
(Lmk Wukong) She thought she was an agent of Chaotic Neutrality but this, this isn't fair. Also your brand of chaos actually scares her and that doesn't happen very often, she can never tell what you're gonna do next but at least you make it fun. The dates you both have together are never boring, and you always put your own twist in the new fun activity. She grew to adore you and your own brand of chaos and wouldn't change you for the world.
(MKR Wukong) Your relationship is gonna look a lot like the recent (Deadpool and Wolverine movie). You drive her to insanity every second of every day. Although she would rather deal with pigsy's flirting, then your Shameless cat calls and s*x jokes. Yes, it is that bad... not to mention that no matter how much she rips you into pieces, you either make an incredibly inappropriate joke or make make noises of well...let's just say you adore her in this state she's in. Although this does end up being useful, when she having angry tantrums and once she knows that you have a love of Violence as well. Oh how happy you both will be.
(NR Wukong) OHHHHHHHHHHHH SH*T THE AMOUNT OF S*X JOKES AND INNUENDOES YOU BOTH WOULD SAY, ARE GONNA MAKE EVERYBODY WANT TO EITHER BLUSH, HURL, OR COVER THEIR EARS IN HORROR!!!!!!!!đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł you guys are a terrible influence on each other but your relationship also kinda makes sense. You both are constantly making jokes and acting like clowns the entire fight, no match how dire the situation is. You also know when to get serious together and get the job done quite alot, and with the money you make you love to spoil her with jewelry and dress. In other words you both are perfect for each other, and are gonna make it everybody's problem.
(HIB Wukong) Ohhhhhhhhhh god, and she thought pigsy was awful to deal with when he flirts. Boi, you has Shamelessly cat called and flirted with her whenever she was alone, our came around you area. Wukong would lose her patience with you a lot but like everyone else in her life, you grew on her because you refuse to leave her alone. You also get along very well with her kids becoming the fun father figure and playing games and doing tricks. Wukong for once smiled at you. As you never seem to let anything get you down, and always offer support.
(Netflix Wukong)(Does anyone remember Bliz and Stolis's phonecall???đ€đ€đ€) Well that was the equivalent of the first meeting with you and Wukong. She was cool with you and bragged about her achievements and beauty and when you got interested in her, and you just haaaaaaadddddd to open you mouthđđđ. You opened to flirt with her and said who lot of rancy, depraved, and blunt with a smile and blush on your face. At the end Wukong had a huge Blush on her face with a light look of horror on her face. Despite her getting interested in you and had accidentally been turned on by your brazen offer and Unfiltered thoughts. She now wondered if she being mildly harassedđłđłđłđłđłđłđłđłđł.
(BMW Wukong) She can never reach your level of unpredictability never in a million centuries. She would be quite jealous considering she never knows what you're gonna do, nor will she never know what you're talking about. Have the time. Though once you both get in sync with each other and find that you both have alot more in common then you think well, heaven is gonna look a lot like hell for now on once you both work together. Their's also gonna be Instances where she's Frenching decapitated head.
(Destined one) You would have her blushing constantly, and so harshly, it's coming out of her fur. Your Chaotic personality is one thing to deal with considering the situations she'll find herself in,but........................... it's your thoughts and mouth that Always kill her!!!!!!!!!Your pick-up lines, constant flirting, and naughty hand gestures are what shock her to her core and cause her to freeze and blush harshly. You can't possibly mean that, right? But then she finds out that's how you're telling her that your interest in her and want her as a mate. The Destined one would not survive you and your Chaotic motor mouth, and something tell her, that's probably not the worst thing you'll ever say

november 8 2024 @ capitals, 4-2 win
the next part in my soulbond series (1, 2, 3, 4). hope you like it!
Sid can feel this season rapidly slipping out of his grasp.
Heâd had a lot of talks with Kyle over the summer. Kyle was up-front about his plans for the year, honest and forthright about what he realistically thought the team could do. Their final conversation before Sid signed his extension ended with Kyle telling him, the Penguins are your team, Sidney, but if the direction weâre headed isnât how you want to finish your career, I understand. Itâs up to you.
Heâd signed. Heâs staying. It wasnât ever really a choice.
Sid thinks thereâs still a part of him that hoped, though. Heâs never going to give up on winning, never going to stop chasing the ultimate goal, and the part of his brain that asks his barber to shave down the hair on his temples until the gray is less visible is the same part that clung to the idea of contending.
And, well, anythingâs possible. Theyâre not even a quarter of the way through the season. But.
Worse than the team, though, Sid can feel Geno slipping away.
Genoâs been avoiding him since the Islanders game. After the hellish Carolina blowout, Sid tried to pin him down for a conversation, to actually talk about this bond and how they can fix it, but Geno slipped away, insulated from Sid on the plane by the poker game group and practically running up to his hotel room when they landed in DC.
For a moment Sid even considered going to morning skate to corner him, but Genoâs gameday routine is even more rigid than Sidâs own, and Sid canât bring himself to mess up Genoâs rhythm, not on a day like today.
Games against Washington always have a little extra importance. Sid takes every game seriously, of course he does, but he wonât lie and say that the Capitals donât stand out on the calendar more than the rest. Especially now, with records in sight and careers coming to an end.
Itâs why he loses his temper and screams on the bench when they blow another lead again in the second.
Losing to an opponent because theyâre just better than you is one thing. But what Sid canât abide, wonât tolerate, is a lack of effort, sloppy play and ignoring the details and fundamentals, making careless mistakes that lead to chances against.
His line is playing well. He canât say the same for anyone else.
At intermission, Sully stays out of the room at first, and Sid lets loose all his frustrations with the year so far, his anger at the losing streaks and his own struggles, and shouts the team down until theyâre properly cowed. And when the coaching staff comes in again, Sid marches up to Sully and tells him to take Geno off the top line.
He says it loud enough for most of the guys to hear, but he doesnât look over to see what face Genoâs making.
Genoâs been on his wing because of a bond he clearly doesnât want, and Sidâs been taking advantage of it. If Sid canât score with the wingers he has, he deserves any failures coming his way.
He spares a thought for his parents, somewhere up in the stands because Sidâs getting close to yet another milestone. Maybe he should tell them to go home.
It was the right decision. Partway through the third, Geno reads a rebound like only he can, breaks the tie, and the Penguins donât look back.
Winning in Washington always means a lot, but even watching Alex smash his stick and yell at himself on the Capitalsâ bench as time ticks down doesnât make Sid feel better. He keeps his head down when he strips out of his gear, spends entirely too much time on a cooldown bike, and is the last one on the bus, barely making it before Sully would have started yelling about him being late.
At least they have the weekend off.
Sid can feel Geno watching him on the plane. Normally after a road trip like this, Geno would commandeer the window seat next to him, sprawl out and get his legs in Sidâs space, jostling him until Sid relaxed enough to laugh and poke back, the two of them picking at each other until they settled enough to get some sleep.
Nobody takes the empty seat next to Sid this time. He tugs his hat over his eyes and purposely thinks about nothing. At least itâs a short flight.
When theyâre deboarding in Pittsburgh, for the first time ever Sid reaches out with the bond on purpose.
The recoil he gets from Geno is enough to send him practically running to his car, racing through the quiet streets to Sewickley faster than heâd normally drive. He feels sick.
Geno might hate him. It was Sidâs lagging production that pulled him into this bond, after all, chained Geno to his side for a week until Sid stopped being selfish and forced them apart again. Geno had been sick, Geno hadnât been producing, and the second Sid let him free he scored, so⊠Sid canât say with confidence that he wouldnât be furious if their roles were reversed.
Heâs so wrapped up in his own self-recriminations that he doesnât realize Genoâs coming over until he hears a key in his lock, and suddenly Genoâs presence in the back of his mind is inescapable.
âSid?â Geno calls, and Sid, sitting at his island in his dark kitchen, drops his head into his hands and waits.
When Geno finds him, he swears long and low, a tumble of Russian that Sid would have gotten the gist of even without the bond pulsing concern and guilt his way.
He flinches when Geno flicks the lights on, blinking up at where Genoâs suddenly looming over him.
âWe need to talk,â Geno says, and Sid stares at him helplessly, because what is there to say?
Geno shakes his head and sits on the stool next to him, pressing their knees together. Sid feels a wash of relief at the contact so powerful he has to blink away dizzy darkness from the corners of his vision. Geno frowns, the downturned corners of his mouth digging lines into his face. In the harsh overhead lights, he looks haggard, skin pale under the remnants of his summer tan and the bags under his eyes dark and pronounced.
âMy fault,â Geno says, holding up one big hand when Sid opens his mouth. âItâs me who starts this, like, after Sochi. Iâm think probably I know itâs there and weâre ignore for so long itâs say, no more, has to happen. We have to fix or weâre sick for season.â
Sid shakes his head. âItâs me who made itâŠwhatever,â he says, gesturing. He doesnât know the right words for whatâs happening to them, never read up on bonds because he never expected to have one. âLike, I needed you and made itâŠthis.â
âYou needed me,â Geno repeats, and his voice is toneless, but Sid feels a soft bloom ofâŠsomething in the bond, something that makes him want to reach out and touch.
âI always need you,â Sid mutters, staring at his hands instead of Genoâs face. Almost twenty years together on this team and it shouldnât feel so strange to admit, of course they need each other, but something about saying it now, out loudâŠthe way heâs feeling, the way he can tell Geno is feeling, makes the words feel fraught.
Thereâs a long silence, and when Sid looks up, Genoâs biting his lip. âDonât know what to do,â he admits, and Sid shouldnât feel relief there, but at least heâs not alone in feeling totally lost.
Thereâs no real literature for this, not really. They havenât even been able to have more than a few quick consults with bond specialists since theyâve been on the road.
Sid startles a little when Geno reaches out and covers Sidâs hands with one of his own. His palm is a little damp, but heâs warm, and his hand is big enough to cover both of Sidâs where theyâre twisting in his lap.
Itâs late. They both should get sleep, even with two full days off from games.
They sit in Sidâs kitchen in silence as night deepens outside.

Austria 2019
-The Styrian hills are so pretty!!
-Charles and Max front row!!
-âSebastian Vettel couldnât run because of a mechanical problem in Q3â
He had a mechanical issue in qualifying for Germany too I think. What is with his Ferrari??
-Why are we calling the Force India, Racing Points now??
-âFeels like the hottest race Iâve ever taken part itâ damn, should I predict tire problems?
-âLando Norris was what- one year old when Kimi Raikkonen made his debut here? They start alongside each other todayâ Thatâs so cool
-âVerstappen gets an awful startâ Ohmygod he got passed by like three cars. That was horrifying
-Charles flew off though
-Not three cars, he got passed by more than three cars. How did this happen??
-Charles just put such a big gap between him and the second car now
-âStarted second, now seventhâ I will cry. What the hell is an anti-stall?
-Charles setting a fastest lap. The contrast between these two right now
-âNorris didnât look at all phased wheel to wheel with Lewis Hamilton. That bodes well for him into the futureâ yes it does
-Also I forgot where Carlos started but seeing him in p15 is unsettling
-âMax Verstappen has lost more positions in the first lap today, than the previous 14 races combinedâ oh
-Ohmygod Lando almost got pushed off the track by Sebastian Vettel
-Aah theyâre going wheel to wheel. He almost got back that position too
-The orange crowd in the grandstands look like minions
-âThe iceman gave Verstappen the whole freezer to himself thereâ I-
-Magnussen getting a drive through penalty :/
-âTell me when to start pushingâ CharlesâŠare you not, already pushing?
-Lap 23, drivers coming in to box now
-Bad stop for Sebastian :( (Heâs down to p7 now)
-âTires are good. Tires are still goodâ Lewis is having a good race then
-Aah why did Kimi pit now, heâs p15
-âdecent pit stop for himâ I forgot heâs not in a top team anymore đ
-Iâm surprised Red Bull hasnât pitted yet
-Oh Lewis trying to overcut Valterri
-Lando and Pierre stopping now
-Okay why do all of these look like very bad stops
-Going to enjoy both Daniel and Nico being in the points for the next few laps before they inevitably lose that
-I kind of like this light blue livery on the Mercedes
-I donât know how but Lewis has a damaged front wing. Thatâs definitely going to hinder his pit stop time
-âThe chase is on now for Hamilton against Vettelâ Or it would have been but Max just came out between them
-Charles back to leading the race
-Carlos and Daniel have been on the same tires for 35 laps now
-âLick the envelope and send it down the insideâDaniel! Itâs so cool how heâs able to fend off Lando with those old tires
-Carlos finally pitting, going back to p14
-How is Daniel still out?
-âLando if you can, just hold Ricciardo in your DRS. Hold him to allow him to have DRS, as long as he canât passâ âWhat like, forever?â Hahaha
-Unfortunately that play by McLaren didnât work out, Pierre has gotten past Daniel now
-Daniel really needs to pit soon
-âCome on mate, letâs get it done. Letâs get itâ Watching young Max go up against experienced drivers is always such a treat. You just have to hold your breath the whole time
-âGet it boy.â âYes boy come onâ Haha, that was really good
-Sebastian pitting?? Now itâs him chasing Lewis
-âšCarlos back in pointsâš
-âOh Iâm losing power. Guys?!â Aaaaah no!!
-Getting directions to push buttons with different numbers while driving at intense speeds would throw me off the edge
-Ah yes Max!! Letâs go!! Back to p2!!
-âVerstappen! Thereâs no stopping him todayâ
-âHaha yesâ âAlright this is game onâ
-This is the most radio Iâve heard between Max and GP in a while
-âTheyâve got history of course, back in the karting days. Only 16 days apartâ My favorite emotional support rivals
-âIâm sure they will absolutely relish a battle like that, if it comes to fruition at the end of this raceâ Inchident pt2?!
-Ohmygod is this _the_ race? The race after which they unfollowed each other???
-âBut I am expecting three happy drivers on the podium for onceâ Iâm so sorry Martin
-âHereâs the glimpse of the future of f1. The youngest ever front rowâ
-âVerstappenâs now caught sight of himâ Letâs go letâs go letâs go
-âBlistering pace Max, keep it up mateâ GP has been the man this whole race. So many encouragements
-âCan Charles Leclerc win his first Grand Prix, or will Max Verstappen deny him that?â
-âHeâs right behind him, the last man to beat Mercedes in a Grand Prix, the old dominating Mercedes-Benz in 2018â âAnd if Leclercâs going to do this, heâs going to fend off a mighty adversaryâ
-âVerstappen behind 1sâ âLeave me aloneâ Valid
-âBravo Charles Leclerc, that was brilliant defendingâ Honestly thereâs no one like Charles when heâs defending from Max
-Aaaah Max!!!! âMax Verstappen has just sent Holland into ruptures!â
-The way everyone talks about this incident- it was less dramatic than they make it sound. I thought he ran into him on purpose or something
-âItâs one, two, three, four, fiveâŠsix! victories in formula 1 for Max Verstappen!â
-âMax you drove a might race. You are the man. I mean, what a race, we are so proud of youâ
-âYou and Charles certainly did him [Niki Lauda] proudâ
-âItâs hard racing otherwise you have to stay homeâ He has never changed
-Itâs hilarious that Valterri is the one sharing this podium
-Max pointing at the Honda logo in the end was so cute
-Going to go watch Charles win his first race now. Iâm expecting karma to come for Max there cause thatâs how the lore between these two seems to work

#solrock#now *this* is the fucker that the one raid battle NPC had in swsh that everyone hated. including me. he served only to remove lives#fuckin mashing the rock polish button the whole time or whatever it was. doing Nothing Else. i feel like a lot of people who usually did#raids offline had that fucker's name and face memorized. cuz they'd see that they got him and just give up right then and there#at a certain point i feel like offline raids were just not very viable. the NPCs they'd give you to battle with were just so bad#and some of the higher star raids you really needed the extra firepower you just couldn't get from those NPCs#but also they kinda removed a lot of the incentive for joining other people's raids considering your catch chance was lowered by like 9000%#if you weren't the host of the raid. and if you were the host the percentage chance was so high it was basically guaranteed#i don't think i ever ONCE caught a pokĂ©mon successfully when i'd joined someone else's raid. and i don't think i ever once failed to catch a#pokĂ©mon when i was the host of the raid. it's just. i dunno! i stopped doing raids at a certain point. some people can get a pokĂ©mon game#and play it long long after the main story bc they get invested in raids and shit but i just lose interest at a certain point unfortunately#as much as i enjoy the game while i'm initially playing through it#hff. anyway. i'm queueing this up the morning of june 30thâ aka the day of my first flight in 10 years. so. this won't post until mid july#and i'll have been back for a while by then but for right nowâ me writing these tagsâ i am very Anxious#saur. haha. y'know how it is. have solrock

re: your recent tags about the gameboy sp! that boy's got headphone adapters i POMISE!!!
the magic of modern science. wow...
#ask#sapphicdroid#i did look it up to fact check myself after i reblogged the post and saw the adapters#honestly when i was younger i never knew it didnt have a headphone jack#granted the only time i ever saw one in person was on the school bus with a friend#he played pokemon blue on it and i dont remember the details of all that went on during#i mightve also seen another kid on the bus play pokemon emerald. i dont remember.#however that was my first exposure to gen 3 pokemon. as a kid i only knew about Red Blue Yellow and Crystal#my brothers had Red and Blue. and so thusly i have both games now. i... dont know where my copy of Red is though.#i have a copy of Yellow from Ebay but it loses its memory sometimes. which i think is why it was put on Ebay in the first place#Crystal however? well first i knew of gen 2 through pokemon stadium 2#we had both pokemon stadiums for the n64. or. well. still do have them.#speaking of. sure does suck to go through the gym leaders and elite 4 in those games. mostly due to how long rounds are.#emulated it a while back and i had to use the fast forward feature a lot#anyway. Crystal. somehow i got my copy from a random coat in a clothing store. just. in the pocket.#i dont know how i managed to find it. it was either in a coat my mom was looking at or i was looking through pockets... probably the former#anyway within like a week. a kid in 3rd grade stole it from me#i... think i got to the elite 4? i remember getting to the last dude with the charizard. forgive me for forgetting his name.#but like right after i had it stolen. i got on the bus and vented to my friend and he was like ''oh i have two copies of crystal''#and then gave his second copy to me. i forget if it was on the day of or if it was the next day.#anyway that same day it got stolen again. by the same kid. that kid stole so much shit from me#he switched schools the next year so i couldnt do anything about it#i have uhhh... soul silver now. so its not that big of a deal these days#anyway thank you for the ask :) i appreciate you telling me anyway

Saying Goodbye to My Mask event on project sekai may have been a premonition of having my own mental health tank to the same level as Mafuyu's because well. Let's just say. The depression. (â .â  â ââ  â áŽâ  â ââ .â )
#miko talking#well. even though i try to get help it feels like my parents sabotage me more#the only comfort is realizing my feelings and wondering about it#frankly i dont like acknowledging them bc then i feel like im not playing up to the role everyone expects of me but#i want to express it in my stuff but I've been losing my will to keep drawing and writing and i guess#this is what depression is like. i just never expected to find myself actually going through it#i thought i left that era of havingthe worst time of my life but i feel like these past few years#are definitely my most worst#i think thats one thing games like pjsk has me realizing#and why i find comfort in n25#because to me they feel like pieces of me that have been written down#idk why im ranting lol??? i just want to be honest with how i feel but i end up going back to trying to be a people pleaser#ewwwww. i hate this. in truth i dont like people all that much. neither do i like making new friends#it's crazy because I'm always saying sure! when someone asks even though i know I'm not going to feel anything from it#sorry..... but I don't care enough anymore.... maybe one day i will#but right now not really..... at least at the moment.#these friendships with followers are in truth just parasociality and i dont want it after what happened the first time#especially with how two-faced/double standards people are like#people are the worst ^^ i wish the world was a kinder place for everyone but i dont know how much longer i can keep up with this#if only people minded their own business. im not someone to be babied by people who think they know better.#what a pain (â ââ áŽâ ââ âżâ )

By the way I haven't seen the final episode but I watched episodes 1-4 of young royals and lost my mind and then today I watched episode 5 and I am unwell thank you
#I can't#I can't with them#honestly though the closest I've been to crying was when sara came home after her driving test#not okay over that in the slightest#but I'm also not remotely okay over literally anything in this season or the entirety of this ever so ââ (â  â â”â  â )â â#also as soon as I started to hear the lyrics in episode five I was like (after I was freaking out enough that I thought it was another love#at first) 'they are not playing losing game right now. THEY ARE NOT PLAYING LOSING GAME RIGHT NOW HOHHH MY GOSH DON'T YOU#DARE'#I could not remember the actual title but I was pretty sure it had another one and as I was typing that I remembered it is arcade lol#anyway xD#yeah so that's how that's going lol#how I'm feeling and all that xD#help lol#young royals#yr#oasis's young royals chatter#oasis's yr chatter#I don't talk about them/it often because I'm not really in any circles for it fandom wise lol but also because I don't think I could#take it lol xd#like thinking about it right now I'm like 'I think it's because I have never been okay over them once ever'#so anyway there's that lol#xD have a nice night y'all lol#even though I know you must not be after watching episode 6 xd#excited and terrified to watch it some time soon lol#gosh I need the abbott I'm gonna try and catch up on tonight lol#bye y'all <333 I have tissues if you need them xdd đ§»â€ïž#best of luck lol#love you

Do you think these 4 people know that at this point I've pack bonded with them and would kill and die for them if they asked
#Every day I refresh my tabs and every day I scream internally#Right now I'm betting on us either getting a trailer for the new episodes or a movie/game with It as the main draw OR#Or we are getting a first look at the new opening#I don't know what else could be a special announcement because I would think premiering an episode early would be a mess schedule-wise#So a trailer for a movie/game/the next few episodes would make sense#But also the new opening has been in the works for months at this point. So this would be the perfect time to show it#Cruddy rambles#I'm trying to maintain my expectations to 'I will be disappointed if I expect the best scenario'#But also being realistic in what this special announcement is and what they're gonna show#I really think it will be a trailer or the new opening. I think that'd be perfect while not showing the full episode it'd still build hype#And just show people what they're there to see and what they're promoting (G5)#Like come on don't tell me we wouldn't all lose our minds over a teaser trailer featuring G5 showing us it fully animated for the first time#Because in Film Red we just got static G5 Luffy. Which was dope BUT I want to see how he's gonna move.#And even if it isn't relating to the upcoming episodes seeing a game/movie get announced with G5 as the main draw would be so fucking hype#I loved film red don't get me wrong but I think they're gonna announce another movie soon#And what perfect time to do it!! G5 is gonna be in the anime soon so a whole movie based on rubberhose antics would be so fucking fun#And hey I'm in the minority here but I do love the one piece games despite them being super simplistic#And I would kill for a game where you can play as Nika. I would KILL FOR IT#I will say tho my worst fear is what G5 will have CGI components#They've been using them a LOT in Wano and it's so obvious every time and well đ€ą they don't look good...#It's too smooth and obvious and sure that *could* lend to the whole unnatural rubberman vibe Nika gives off but like...#You have a whole genre of non-CGI animation to be inspired by!!!! If they forgo rubberhose and make it even partly CG I *will* cry

november 11 2024 vs stars, 7-1 loss
yikes!
no soulbond verse for this game because like. what even. tw for breakups because they pissed me off and i'm taking it out on them this way.
Zhenya goes through the Dallas game in a haze.
Theyâre losing badly. He tries on the ice, but heâs distracted. He flubs shots and mistimes passes, and in between shifts he sits at the end of the bench and stares down at nothing, shrugging off teammates and coaches alike.
Sid keeps looking at him, peering around whoever is serving as a buffer between them to try and catch Zhenyaâs eye, calling their line in before faceoffs when Sully sends them out together, but for all Zhenya listens to his plays and nods along, he wonât look directly at Sid.
He doesnât know how heâd react right now, if Sid tried to talk to him like he had after practice yesterday, catching him right when Zhenya was about to make his escape to the locker rooms and talking earnestly at him about acting normal and making sure the team isnât impacted.
Fuck the team, and fuck Sidney Crosby too. Right now, Zhenya couldnât possibly care less.
He lets off some steam in the third, going after someone in a green and white jersey and cussing out the ref who leads him to the box, but by the time the final buzzer mercifully sounds even that fit of temper has passed, plunging him back into the hazy malaise heâs worn since Sid broke up with him after they landed in Pittsburgh on Friday night.
Zhenya had been exhausted after a long road trip, looking forward to bundling Sid back to his house and installing them both on his enormous bed to cuddle and watch TV until they wound down enough to sleep. Instead, Sid had paused by Zhenyaâs car, taken his elbow, and earnestly told him that he felt like what they were doing, what theyâd started up last spring after what felt like over a decade of slow-burn pining, was a distraction. Was a bad idea. Was bad for their hockey.
Well, Zhenya hopes Sidâs happy. His grand plan sure did a lot for the team and their hockey tonight.
Sully talks at them in the room after the game, voice raised and urgent. Zhenya tunes him out, wonders if heâll be fired soon. Zhenya hasnât talked much to Kyle, whose focus since he got hired has been pretty much exclusively on Sid, but surely after a game like this the front office is considering making moves.
Losing is one thing. Embarrassing themselves like that at home is another.Â
Zhenya wonders vaguely what Sidâs parents will have to say. Theyâve been trailing the Penguins practically the whole season, waiting for Sid to hit his milestones, and Zhenyaâs spent a lot of time with them as a result. Heâs not entirely sure what Sidâs told them, but Trinaâs been kind, caring in a way that made Zhenya miss his own mama fiercely, and Troy liked to bend Zhenyaâs ear about international hockey. Theyâve been around when Zhenyaâs shown up after bad losses, late at night and seeking comfort from his boyfriend.
Sid will have to come up with some explanation for why Zhenyaâs suddenly dropped out of their lives. Between that and this loss, Zhenya imagines it wonât be a pleasant conversation. He canât even find joy in that.
At least Zhenyaâs parents will only want to talk to him about that penalty he took in the third. He hasnât breathed a word about Sid to them, not even when they were in almost constant contact all summer. Heâd been scared, little-boy frightened of making his parents angry, and while at the time heâd felt guilty, like he was treating Sid like something shameful, he canât help but be grateful for it now.
When Sully leaves, Zhenya stands and mechanically strips off his baselayers. The sooner he can get home, the better.
âG.â Sidâs suddenly standing next to him, clutching a towel and looking worried. âBud, hey, can we talk?â
Zhenya, for the first time in his tenure on the Pittsburgh Penguins, shoulders past Sid without a single word or acknowledgement.Â
Sid can take his fake concern and shove it up his ass. Itâs not his business anymore, how Zhenyaâs feeling.
Heâll handle it on his own.
#sidgeno#hockey rpf#my writing#my fic#24-25 series#considering this a lil bit of an exercise for irreconcilable differences
